Gayle Perry DenningDirector of Sustainability
Gayle Perry Denning is the great-grand-daughter of Perry’s Ice Cream founder, H. Morton Perry. As a partner in her 96-year-old family business, Gayle is responsible for evaluating, developing, communicating and managing the company’s sustainability strategies and related initiatives. Sustainable efficiencies have always been a cornerstone in Perry’s manufacturing and distribution operations. Gayle’s vision is to incorporate her family’s tradition of quality across the entire organization through a progressive, corporate-wide, strategic sustainability initiative.
Gayle holds a BS in business from the State University College at Buffalo. Her belief that experience outside the family business adds value and depth of knowledge led Gayle to begin her career as the marketing analyst for the Sorrento Cheese Company. During her tenure, Gayle’s marketing responsibilities increased to product manager and ultimately marketing manager before returning to the family business.
In addition to her contributions at Perry’s, Gayle has served as a trustee for the Eleanor and Wilson Greatbatch Foundation Board as well as for Hearts and Hands Faith in Action, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting the elderly and frail remain independent. Gayle is also an active member of the Clarence United Methodist Church currently serving on their missions’ team and a board member for Beechwood Continuing Care.
