Gayle Perry Denning is the great-grand-daughter of Perry’s Ice Cream founder, H. Morton Perry.  As a 4th generation managing partner in her family’s 100 year-old business, Gayle serves as Secretary and shares responsibilities with the  Leadership Team, which determines the overall vision and strategic direction of the organization.

Gayle’s management responsibilities are two-fold: Sustainability and Marketing.  She leads the organization’s Sustainability Team to evaluate, develop, educate and communicate the company’s sustainability strategies and related initiatives.  Sustainable efficiencies have always been a cornerstone in Perry’s operations.  The Perry’s Sustainability Team works to promote a sustainable minded culture to drive our corporate goals of People, Planet and Performance.

In addition, Gayle’s experience and passion drive her as an engaged shareholder in marketing the Perry’s brand.  She champions the development and formalization of image, positioning, products and strategies regarding Perry’s Ice Cream.  The Perry’s brand is an extension of the family’s value, ideas and generations of experience in the ice cream industry. On-going involvement of the family in marketing is essential for continued success.

Gayle holds a BS in business from the State University College at Buffalo. Her belief that experience outside the family business adds value and depth of knowledge led Gayle to begin her career as a marketing analyst for the Sorrento Cheese Company.  During her tenure, Gayle’s marketing responsibilities increased to Product Manager and ultimately, Marketing Manager, before returning to the family business.

In addition to her contributions at Perry’s, Gayle has served as a trustee for the Eleanor and Wilson Greatbatch Foundation as well as for Hearts and Hands Faith in Action, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting the elderly and frail remain independent.  Gayle is currently serving her 2nd term on the board of directors for Beechwood Continuing Care.
