A quick and easy summer recipe – so little work and so much yum!
You will have enough graham cracker pie crumbs for 2 milkshakes, so feel free to save the remainder in a ziplock bag and refrigerate for a future milkshake. Or if you have two milkshake-loving folks at home, double the recipe and make two shakes!
In a blender, combine the ice cream, banana (optional), milk, 1/2 cup of the graham cracker crumbs (optional), and vanilla extract (optional). Blend until smooth. Pour into your favorite glass (or a jar!), and top with whipped cream and a pinch of graham cracker crumbs.
To make the graham cracker pie crumbs, preheat the oven to 350°F. Stir together the melted butter and graham cracker crumbs. Turn out onto a small baking sheet and bake for 7-10 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely. Bonus – the whole house fills with graham cracker aroma goodness – better than any scented candle!
*Serving tip from our Facebook friend Debbie N.: Place your serving glasses or jars in the freezer before making the shakes. They will keep the shakes nice and frosty!

OMG….I can’t get out there fast enough to get this ice cream. Looks heavenly!
Dottie, so glad you like it! Enjoy!
I don’t want to contradict your recipe, but all you need is the ice cream and a banana to make this the most delicious milkshake ever! I just made this for 2 young ladies who just had their braces adjusted and they said it was the greatest! I only added the whipped cream. I also made this for my husband and he raved about it. and just so you know, Perry’s ice cream is BOGO at Dash’s this week. great deal!
That is another great take on the recipe, certainly! Except it will not give you the “pie” taste, but will also taste great. Thank you for suggestion, Dottie. – Elena
