
Buffalo, NY -- The 19th Annual FREE FAMILY FILM SERIES at Shea's Performing Arts Center provides free family-oriented movies to the general public. The 2009-10 Film Series kicks off on Sunday, November 15, at 2 p.m. with "HOOK" (rated PG) starring Robin Williams as Peter Pan. Doors open at 1 p.m.
Free movie tickets are available to the general public approximately 10 days prior to the film date at Wegman's Customer Service Desks (Erie/Niagara counties), and at Shea's Box Office (open M-F, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sat. 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.) Entrance to the theatre is available through Pearl St. and Main St. Movie tickets/seats available on a first-come, first-serve basis only.
The now adult, Peter Pan places work before family and has forgotten about Captain Hook, until Hook kidnaps his children and takes them to Neverland. With the help of Tinkerbell and the Lost Boys, Peter has to rediscover his youth to rescue his kids in this fantasy spectacular of the J.M. Barrie classic.

Originally built as a movie house when it opened in 1926, Shea's offers the Free Family Film Series "to provide patrons with the opportunity to experience Shea's as patrons did during the theatre's early days," said Lisa Grisanti, director of marketing and public relations at Shea's. The movie viewing screen is one of the largest in New York State. The theatre seats 3,019.
