Perry’s Ice Cream and Buffalo Sabres: Shoot! Score! Read More! 2011 with Derek Roy

Since 2007, Perry’s Ice Cream has teamed up with the Buffalo Sabres to present the Shoot! Score! Read More! program to elementary schools in Buffalo. For the 2010-2011 school year, schools were challenged to meet a reading goal based on their school’s size. Over 40 elementary schools in the Buffalo area participated and 160000 books were read from October — January, an average of 4000 books per school. All participating schools received Perry’s/Sabres themed tracking posters for their classrooms and bookmarks for students. Five participating schools were selected at random to win prizes. Secondary prize winning schools will receive ice cream novelties and appearances from Sabretooth and Perry Winkle mascots.
