It’s been a challenging year to keep our youth active and engaged with physical activities. As many families face a holiday season blighted by the pandemic, they need as much help as possible to enable kids to play and be physically active.
Perry’s Ice Cream and the Buffalo Sabres Foundation directed $10,000 from the proceeds of Let’s Dough Buffalo!® to support Victory Sports Global Outreach, a Clarence-based 501(c)3 non-profit. The organization will visit youth programs and food banks in late November to give away play packs containing several items of sports and play equipment to 1,000 children, via Youth Programs and Food Banks in all 8 Counties of WNY.

Let’s Dough Buffalo!® is a cookie hat trick made up of cookie dough ice cream with crushed cookie swirls and cookie dough pieces. The 1.50-quart package features a special “Letter to the Sabres Nation.”
Perry’s has a longstanding relationship with the Buffalo Sabres, dating back over 35 years to the early 1980’s with the launch of Sabre Sundae. In 2006, Perry’s introduced Buffalo Sabres Top Shelf Sundae. Let’s Dough Buffalo!® is the third Sabres flavor, launched in 2017.
The “Power Play”
The funds will be utilized for the campaign to distribute the Play Packs. Each play pack contains a jump-rope, exercise band, frisbee, pedometer, playground ball, and several other small items, to kids across Western New York.
Project Play WNY and the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation first created the ‘Play Packs’ this summer and helped local organizations distribute thousands of packs.
As a result of this latest donation, Perry’s has given $150,000 to the Buffalo Sabres Foundation since 2008. Past recipients include Camp Good Days, The Resource Council of WNY and The United Way of Buffalo and Erie County.
