Pegula Sports and Entertainment partners with Perry’s Ice Cream to create unique Buffalo product
BUFFALO, N.Y. (October 8, 2015) — Pegula Sports and Entertainment, in partnership with Perry’s Ice Cream, today announced the creation of One Buffalo Premium Ice Cream.
“We’re pleased to introduce a product that reinforces our collective pride in One Buffalo, Our City,” said Bruce Popko, Pegula Sports and Entertainment’s executive vice president of business development. “We have partnered with Perry’s to create a way for Western New Yorkers of all ages to celebrate the passion they have for the city of Buffalo. This family-friendly initiative is a great way to express Buffalo pride.”
The new One Buffalo Premium Ice Cream flavor is a combination of vanilla ice cream with sea salt caramel swirls, sponge candy pieces, and fudge-coated pretzels. The ice cream came to fruition when Kim Pegula visited the Perry’s headquarters this summer. Together with the Perry’s team, they created a distinctive ice cream flavor combination that is reflective of the area’s heritage and love for signature items including sponge candy, a Buffalo tradition.
“We were immediately captivated by Terry and Kim’s passion for the recent renaissance of Buffalo as well as their enthusiasm for great tasting ice cream,” Perry’s President and CEO Robert Denning explained. “As a local company celebrating nearly 100 years of serving this community we are thrilled to partner with Pegula Sports and Entertainment to create the new One Buffalo Premium Ice Cream flavor and to be part of this exciting time in Buffalo.”
One Buffalo Premium Ice Cream will make its debut tonight at First Niagara Center for the Sabres season opener against the Ottawa Senators. It will be available throughout the season at ice cream stands on the 100 and 200 levels. One Buffalo Premium Ice Cream will also be sold at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, and will be available in retail outlets beginning in the first quarter of 2016.
Perry’s Ice Cream will provide a free product tasting in Tops Alumni Plaza, outside First Niagara Center, On Saturday, Oct. 10 between 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM as part of the Party in the Plaza prior to the Sabres 1:00 faceoff with the Tampa Bay Lightning. All fans attending the game will receive a Buffalo Sabres 2015-2016 season magnet schedule, compliments of Perry’s.
