Our “good stuff” starts with great people

Over 100 years ago, our founder, H. Morton Perry, created his first batch of ice cream with his golden rule: “Make sure you put in enough of the good stuff.” While a lot has changed since that first batch of ice cream, we have held on to the belief that having enough of the good stuff is really important. With over 400 employees across New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio (and growing!), we know that our “good stuff” starts with our great people, even before the slow-cooked process begins. From production, distribution, sales, transportation, customer service, and everything in between, every team member at Perry’s contributes to our “Good Stuff.” And we know that we wouldn’t be where we are today without our passionate people behind us.

What should I expect in the hiring process?

You can expect to be kept informed throughout the process.  Our hiring process includes a phone screen, onsite interview, and background check before an offer is made. We do our best to communicate to all candidates regarding the status of their application!

What is the culture like at Perry’s Ice Cream? Will I be seen as just a number?

When it comes to service, Perry’s supports and sponsors many organizations.  We choose a new charity twice a year from the suggestions of Team Members.  All dollars collected are donated to that organization.

What benefits do you offer?

At Perry’s, we offer a healthy sampling of benefits to fit a variety of personal and family needs. Our team members can elect a range of voluntary insurance plans in addition to the company-paid benefits provided.  This includes 401K with employer match, medical insurance, employer paid dental insurance, Employee Assistance Program, wellness resources, life insurance, disability insurance, Paid Family Leave, Paid Time Off, and our tuition assistance.

If I get hired, how can I grow my career?

At Perry’s Ice Cream we encourage internal movement and provide many opportunities for our Team Members to advance their careers! In the last year, more than 10% of our Team Members were promoted or awarded a different position internally. We also offer paid on-the-job training and a tuition assistance program! 

I don’t see a suitable position on your website, can I still apply?

Is it cold working at an ice cream facility?

Temperature varies throughout our plant at One Ice Cream Plaza. We do have a Frozen Warehouse that sits at -20 degrees Fahrenheit, but our Production Floor where we make products is not cold like that!
