Celebrate National Villain Day with a Scoop of Super Villain Ice Cream

Every story needs a Super Villain; the one who stirs up mischief, breaks the rules, and keeps everyone on their toes. Sometimes misunderstood, often unforgettable, they remind us that a little rebellion can be a lot of fun. This National Villain Day, we’re embracing our villain era with the release of our new Super Villain flavor, for those who love a little chaos with their scoop.

Meet Super Villain!

Perry’s fans have loved our Super Hero flavor for years, but every hero needs a villain! A new flavor has entered the freezer and is not afraid to cause a little chaos. Introducing Super Villain, a flavor that’s as unpredictable as the characters who inspired it. While Super Hero has long been a fan favorite for its bright colors and nostalgic charm, Super Villain arrives to stir up a little mischief with a darker, bolder twist. This new flavor blends green apple, orange, and grape flavored ice creams into a dangerously delicious combination that proves even villains have layers worth savoring.

Raise a scoop to the villains today.

According to WhatNationalDayIsIT, National Villain Day, celebrated on April 29th, rose in popularity around 2016. With National Superhero Day celebrated every year since 1995 on April 28th, it seems the antagonists of the story decided they deserved a little love too. After all, without the villains, the heroes wouldn’t have a story in the first place.

There are many examples of characters in cinema that are widely considered evil. But if you take a closer look at their stories, there are plenty of “bad guys” who are simply misunderstood. Maleficent of Sleeping Beauty, born a fairy pure of heart, acted out of revenge after her wings were stolen by the future king to prove his worthiness of the crown. Frankenstein’s monster is often portrayed as violent, but his actions stem more from rejection, fear, and confusion than from any inherent evil. Darth Vader was taken advantage of and manipulated by the Dark Side after grieving the loss of his true love. While we don’t condone how these villains reacted to their hardships, we’re more than happy to celebrate them for a day.

Fun ways to celebrate National Villain Day:
  • Turn off the lights and do a mysterious “midnight snack” ice cream moment
  • Create a villain-themed dessert spread
  • Build a “choose your side” dessert bar with hero-inspired and villain-inspired toppings
  • Pair Super Hero vs Super Villain flavors
  • Sneaking dessert before dinner
  • Taking the biggest scoop
  • Eating ice cream straight from the carton
  • Eat dessert first, just for the day

This year we invite you to embrace the mischief, one scoop at a time! Heroes may save the day, but villains make the story interesting. Super Villain is here to remind us that life isn’t black and white, and neither is ice cream.  Sometimes, the most intriguing flavors come from those who break the rules.
