Is Perry’s Ice Cream rBST free?

All Perry’s Ice Cream products feature rBST free milk and cream.* rBST is an artificial hormone used to increase milk production in cows. None of the milk and cream used in Perry’s Ice Cream products come from rBST treated cows. 

*The FDA states that no significant difference has been shown between dairy derived from rBST-treated and non-rBST-treated cows. 

Is Perry’s Ice Cream gluten free?

It is important to note that our plant handles several allergens, including wheat. We do not manufacture our products on production lines dedicated to allergens or non-allergens, however we follow industry-standard Good Manufacturing Practices in handling allergens in our facility. After a flavor containing an allergen is produced, the equipment is appropriately washed and inspected by our team to ensure the equipment is clean before any new product is run. We understand how critical allergens are to consumers and we strive to ensure a safe and wholesome product!

What is the difference between sherbet and sorbet?

Sherbet has a milkfat content between 1% and 2%, where sorbet typically does not contain any dairy ingredients. Because of this, sherbet tends to have a creamier taste while sorbet may be a little lighter and sweeter in taste!

Yes, Perry’s Ice Cream is made with pasteurized milk.

Where does Perry’s Ice Cream get their milk from?

What is the difference between swiss chips and chocolate chips? 
What is the difference between corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup?  

Corn Syrup contains glucose and maltose and is used in ice cream to soften texture, prevent sugar crystallization and help maintain quality in frost-free home freezers. It acts as a texture enhancer and protector while adding a bit of sweetness.  

High Fructose Corn Syrup is created with corn syrup undergoes enzymatic processing to convert some glucose into fructose. It is sweeter than corn syrup and is primarily used as a sweetener in foods and beverages. It may also appear on labels as “corn sugar.”
